Can you substitute baking soda with baking powder?

YES, well the experts say you can. I am currently making flourless peanut butter cookies so we will see if this conversion works.

Experts say that you can use 2 to 3 times as much baking powder to baking soda. Some said to omit the salt. I split the difference, so my recipe called for 2 tsp baking soda and I used 4.5 tsp of baking powder.

Just as a follow-up the cookies turned out quite well with the baking powder substitution.
