Chunky Tomato & Three Pepper Salsa



This was a homerun!!! Again from the Hunt's website for Tomato Month.

I made this for our snack watching the CMA's last night.

2 cans (14.5 ounces each) Petite Diced tomatoes, undrained
1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes
1 bunch of green onions, chopped
1 medium yellow pepper
1 medium red pepper
1 medium orange pepper
3 large cloves garlic, finely chopped
1/2 cup chopped fresh cilantro
1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
1/2 teaspoon ground red pepper
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Stir together all ingredients in a medium bowl ( I might use a large one because this completely filled my Pamperd Chef Badder Bowl) until well blended.

Cover and refrigerate 2 hours prior to serving

Note: May use all yellow or orange bell peppers if desired.


I say again we LOVED IT!!!



Next time I might kick it up a bit with a couple of drops of hot sauce.

Well here is the actual review. It was a thumbs up for myself and my husband. I added some shredded cheese to the top and he added some crackers.

I am so happy that the turkey passed the test!!!
