Every month I try to send some type of snack to my husband's office. Why I really don't know? Maybe because being unemployed I feel I should do it.
This would also be good for those nights your child comes home and needs brownies for the class the next day. It was easy and quick.
Here is another recipe that I got out of the Sunday coupon section.
2 pkgs (7.4 oz each) Martha White Chocolate Chip Muffin Mix
1/2 cup firmly packed dark brown sugar
6 Tbsp. butter, melted and cooled
1 egg beaten
2 tsp. vanilla
3/4 cup chopped pecans
Heat oven to 350 degrees(325 for dark, nonstick pan). Grease bottom of 8 inch square baking pan. In large bowl combine muffin mixes and brown sugar; stir to blend evenly. Add butter, egg and vanilla; stir until well blended. Stir in pecans. Spread evenly into prepared pan. Bake at 350 for 25 to 30 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool; cut into bars.
