Just to let you folks know the Gooey Butter/Chess Cake was not a success. I don't think it was the recipe I think it was the cook. As I stated before I used two small Jiffy Yellow Cake Mixes and I think something got lost in translation if you get my drift.
They have a good flavor but are a bit too gooey. We are enjoying them but they would not work as the housewarming gift that I was hoping to give the new neighbors.
I'll try again one day.
