Allegro Marinade A Staple in My Refrigerator

My husband is in charge of supper tonight ( a brisket cooked low and slow in the Weber Smokey Mountain). But I still had to come up with something for lunch. Something quick and easy was what was on my mind. Since we are trying to cut down on bread sandwiches were out so I looked in the frig to see what was there.

I had two chicken breasts left over from my recipe from yesterday and there in the door of my refrigerator was The Original Allegro Marinade. This is always a life saver. I threw the breasts in a zippy bag and poured in some Allegro and let it marinate for about 45 minutes. Then I simply through them in the oven for about 30 minutes on 350 until they reached 165 degrees. Then I simply had some steam veggies and we were set to go for lunch.

We got a free sample of Allegro Marinade at the American Royal Barbecue Contest in 2004 I think and since then we have kept some with us at all times (In fact we buy in the 1/2 Gallon container at SAMS). It is great if you have unexpected company and need to prepare something quick. We love it on chicken and pork chops and have used it on steaks too. This time we used it in the oven but it is also savory on the grill.

I hope your better half is cooking for supper too. It is great not to have to worry about it.
